Brief Description:

The Steelstown Project is an affordable housing scheme in Derry built by North & West Housing Association with the support of the Department of Trade and Industry.

Solar panels containing photovoltaic cells are installed on the roofs of the houses, which provide for part of the electricity needs of the residents. The project entailed Installation for 2kW roof mounted Photovoltaic Solar Panels on 25 Houses
