Brief Description:

Renewable Building Technologies Ltd. were commissioned by Gorey Courtown Forest Park Ltd. to assess the potential of incorporating renewable technologies into the existing leisure centre. The project was undertaken in two phases:

Phase I is the installation of a 500 kW biomass boiler in a visitor friendly boiler house and the installation of a 75kW wind turbine.

Phase II will be the addition of renewable energies to the new Visitor's Centre and new Holiday homes. Building Integrated Photovoltaics, a solar water heating system, wood pellet boilers and a ground source heat pump are being considered for this phase of the project.
